MUMBAI: With its aggressive expansion plans, Starwood Hotels & Resorts in South Asia plans to hold a recruitment drive – Careers Day – across 120 locations in the Asia Pacific region on March 21, 2014.
During the event, candidates will have a chance to discover career opportunities within Starwood Asia Pacific, and meet human resources representatives from different Starwood Hotels.
“The battle for market share in the future will be fought over talent. The demand for manpower during this period will be unprecedented and this will lead to escalated career growth, innovative ways of hiring, retaining and developing, with a focus on productivity,” said Dilip Puri – managing director India and regional vice president, south Asia for Starwood Asia Pacific Hotels & Resorts. The global brand aims to add over 2000 positions by end of 2015.
Starwood currently operates 41 hotels, with additional 42 properties under construction in South Asia, including 38 hotels operating in India and 35 in the pipeline. It aims to have 100 hotels either operating, under development or management contracts signed by the end of 2015.
